University Consortium of
Intensive English Programs (UCIEP)
UCIEP - the University Consortium of Intensive English Programs - is an independent consortium of university and college-administered intensive English programs in the United States.
Founded in 1967, UCIEP's purpose is the advancement of professional standards and quality instruction in intensive English programs at US universities and colleges. UCIEP members are committed to the consortium's effort to ensure that students receive the highest quality intensive English instruction from trained, professional teachers.
All member programs adhere to the UCIEP Guidelines. Every three years, each UCIEP member is asked to endorse the guidelines and undergo a program self-study to ensure compliance with the guidelines.
